The unwell infant - Paediatric Virtual Patient

Understanding how to approach an infant presenting to the Emergency Department is an important skill for Junior Doctors, who are often the first clinicians to review this vulnerable group of patients. 

This case provides an example of a virtual infant who presents to the Emergency Department - It will give you the opportunity to work through a real life case. In doing so, the aim is that you will have a better understanding of your individual clinical reasoning processes, and gain more confidence in how to approach infants in future.
